70 Hanger Lane – Planning Approved

The Hogarth Property Group is delighted to announce that planning permission has now been obtained for its largest project to date – a 59 unit co-living development in Ealing W5.

The site was originally designated as Metropolitan Open Land and an eighteen month planning process was needed, involving extensive consultations and support from Ealing Borough Council and the office of the Mayor for London, to satisfy requirements and obtain permission. As part of the development, an offsite affordable payment of £1.9 million is being made which will be allocated towards local affordable housing in the London Borough of Ealing.

70 Hanger Lane will comprise an innovative and uniquely designed building built across seven floors incorporating a substantial double basement which includes a secure integral bike store accessed by a cargo lift at the main entrance. It will also feature communal roof terraces, private balconies and patios. The scheme, which, due to its unique design features, requires considerable construction expertise, is being undertaken by group company Hogarth Design & Build and is expected to take around twenty months to complete. All studio apartments are fully furnished and have en-suite shower rooms and private kitchens. High quality fittings including flat screen TVs as standard. Great attention is being placed on the communal areas and the development has a much higher percentage of communal space than most co-living schemes. The communal spaces include a fully equipped gym, a cinema room, a games room, laundry room, rooftop lounges with workstations and breakout rooms with kitchen and dining facilities.

The scheme will be let and managed on an “all bills inclusive” basis by another Hogarth Property Group company, Urban Living, who will have a dedicated resident’s manager/concierge on site. Regular resident’s social events are planned and all apartments and communal areas have high speed internet making the scheme the perfect location for today’s busy professionals and digital nomads.

The development at 70 Hanger Lane follows on from The Hogarth Property Group’s successful development of 48 co-living units at 15 Hanger Lane which completed in 2021
